Manager, Financial Planning & Reporting

Job Description:

Position Summary

To lead the financial planning and reporting function by overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, performance monitoring, and management reporting. The role provides strategic financial insights to support business planning, investment decisions, pricing strategies, profitability optimization, and operational performance, while ensuring timely, accurate, and effective financial reporting to management and the Board, in alignment with the Company's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop yearly business plan with 3 years financial forecast through collaboration with local management team and users’ departments
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
  • Prepare performance pack for monthly and quarterly basis collecting data from each department
  • Prepare board papers to provide financial and non-financial information about business strategies, achievement of business plan and potential business opportunities
  • Lead tracking and benefits realization from TCO projects, site profitability analysis and revenue assurance
  • Prepare internal reports such as weekly operational reports, monthly management report and external reports such as MIC report, PTD report
  • Provide insightful reporting and analysis to enhance decision making at management and group level board presentation
  • Identify financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management
  • Provide financial and non-financial analysis to internal and external requests on evaluation of business opportunities, investment plans, addressing performance gaps and identifying cost efficiencies
  • Evaluate financial viability of business cases (CAPEX & OPEX) prepared by users’ departments and provide recommendations
  • Work with finance operations and other finance division to review P&L and balance sheet variance analysis and reconciliations
  • Evaluate financial performance on special projects such as cost saving initiatives from operations department and design innovations from engineering department
  • Monitor project cost risks, issues and change control, communicate the impact to the user department heads in case of cost overrun
  • Monitor and report on cash flow and preparing and reporting on regular cash flow forecasting
  • Liaise with Commercial to develop and execute the pricing model to offer a price to MNOs evaluating FCF, NPV, IRR and recovery period

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor degree in Financial Management, CIMA, ACCA or CPA Qualified
  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
  • Good communication skills and Board level presentation
  • Financial modelling experience
  • Mastering PowerPoint skills, Excel Worksheet and Power BI
  • Experience of monitoring and reporting on capital expenditure on major projects would be an advantage
  • Experience of building and using a budgeting and forecasting system and rolling it out across the organization
