Construction Manager

Job Description:

Position Summary

Responsible for the overall management of assigned projects/sites including administration, financial, human resources, and other project-related resources allocated for the project and delivering the project in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Implement engineering and construction work procedures and provide project management oversight to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Prepare, maintain, and review departmental records, project drawings, reports, and other project-related documentation
  • Provide administrative and operational leadership for assigned projects, including subcontractor management, worksite safety and security, regulatory compliance, reporting, and project execution
  • Establish and maintain project work plans and schedules, monitor project progress, attend project meetings, and regularly communicate with staff to review project status and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Evaluate work performance of subordinate staff to promote productivity, high performance, and team morale
  • Participate in project-related approval processes and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate project execution
  • Anticipate and identify shortages of financial resources, manpower, materials, and equipment, and report to the Project Director with recommended corrective action plans
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance, Health and Safety requirements, observe safe work practices, and implement preventive actions to minimize project risks and legal liabilities
  • Verify and approve project work completion status, coordinate payment recommendations to the accounting department, and review variation works submitted by subcontractors for approval by the Project Director
  • Coordinate with building authorities, local government agencies, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and project requirements
  • Support the purchasing team in sourcing material suppliers, coordinating logistics, and managing material storage for project activities
  • Support QS functions, including Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Bid (RFB), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Requests for Information (RFI), supplier and subcontractor coordination, and contract preparation

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or related field)
  • Advanced education or specialized training in Project Management or Construction Management is a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, or Property Development
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of project planning tools, construction processes, and engineering standards
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Working Time:

8:30 AM ~ 5:30 PM

Monday ~ Friday

Saturday & Sunday closed
