Assistant Legal & Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Determine necessary actions to be taken to ensure that the Branch fully complies with all applicable guideline, direction, request or requirement of Central Bank of Myanmar or of Bank of Thailand or of any other governmental agency or authority
• Monitor and control the Branch’s activities in order to comply with guidelines and laws
• Advise the management in adopting policies or making decision regarding guidelines and laws
• Advise and distribute to relevant internal units applicable new/amended guidelines and laws
• Maintain relationship with third party related to the job e.g., Central Bank of Myanmar, Forum of Foreign Bank’s Compliance Association and other regulatory bodies
• Monitor compliance with the Branch’s Risk Management Policy in collaboration with other control functions and relevant departments and make recommendations for any amendments
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Branch Manager

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Laws, Business Administration or relevant education background
• 10 years of experience as a Legal and Compliance Deputy Manager/Manager or Compliance related functions management at financial services sector or banking sector
• Having good knowledge about CBM or relevant authority’s rules and regulations
• Analytical mindset with excellent organization skills
• Good Command in both written and oral in Burmese and English languages
• Ability to understand and use technical and legal language
• Good interpersonal skill, presentation skill, and communication skills
• Confidentiality and sound business judgement
• Ability to work under pressure

9:00 AM ~ 5:00 PM

Monday ~ Friday
