Ensuring that the Governance, Risk, Compliance and Control Frameworks (“Risk Framework”) of Strategic Business Units (SBUs) are operating effectively

Making operative the risk controls required by the Risk Framework to remain within the agreed risk appetites

Compiling, assessing and reporting risk information to top management

Ensuring that the SBUs’ activities in relation to risk management comply within relevant legislation, regulations and internationally best practices

Supporting the CEOs in advising the Board on matters related to risk management

Developing, managing and refining qualitative and quantitative risk reporting which meets the needs of the Board, in order to support effective decision making

Working closely with the CEO, CFO/FC, the Board, Audit and Risk Committee (if any), HoDs across the Strategic Business Units (“SBU”) assisting the establishment and maintenance of a high-achieving, well-controlled organization which can achieve growth targets safely and adheres to best international practices

Formulating and articulating a coherent risk appetite and infrastructure

Continuously developing, enhancing and embedding the risk framework for managing risks across the SBUs ensuring that processes are fit for purpose

Developing and updating risk management policies and procedures

Establishing and maintaining corporate governance systems related to risk

Embedding a positive culture of confident and informed risk-taking through training, communication and promotion of the agreed risk framework

Partnering effectively with third parties, regulatory bodies and others, as appropriate and serving as a role model for high personal and corporate ethical values and standards of integrity

Supporting corporate governance issues involving external risk reporting to stakeholders

Advising on risk management and mitigation and providing education, support and training to staff to build risk awareness across SBUs
