Officer of Faculty and Student Affairs

Responsibilities

• Assist in devising strategies that lead to a satisfactory experience for both faculty and students
• Administer faculty operations and activities
• Identifies International (and sometimes national) instructors for each upcoming semester
• Oversees the faculty recruitment process and supports their smooth onboarding
• Supervise international faculty members with Visa procedures and relocation to Myanmar
• Plan and facilitate new faculty orientation
• Manage faculty absences and cancellations and course release request process
• Assist faculty with classroom requests
• Devise strategies for faculty performance
• Develop curricula, syllabi, faculty handbook, and other teaching material
• Monitor faculty performance and assist them with needed improvements
• Respond to concerns raised by faculty and seek resolution to the issues
• Collaborate with administrative staff for program related matters
• Monitor and enhance student satisfaction rates by developing strategies to improve the overall learning experience
• Oversee grade reports and transcripts
• Address student concerns regarding grades
• Respond to concerns raised by students and seek resolution to the issues
• Examine and respond to student safety concerns and concerns regarding the behavior of students
• Create and maintain the student Code of Conduct

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in pedagogy, education administration or, educational leadership
• Administrative or teaching experience in academia
• Experience in decision-making, strategic thinking and planning
• Ability to devise strategies that enhance the overall experience for both faculty and students
• Experience in administering faculty operations and activities
• Passionate about education and youth development
• Passionate about collaborating and sharing with colleagues
• Positive attitude and willingness to share ideas for program enhancement
• Build and maintain positive relationship with students, faculty, and staff
• Demonstrate flexibility and creativity both in and out of the campus
